Royal Enfield Classic 650: Twice the Character

The Royal Enfield Classic 650 brings the timeless proportions of the Classic together with the smooth performance of the brand’s 648cc parallel-twin engine. It is a larger, more powerful interpretation of a familiar Royal Enfield shape, created for riders who want classic presence with greater long-distance ability.
The design centres on the unmistakable casquette headlamp, teardrop fuel tank and flowing mudguards. Polished engine cases and twin peashooter-style exhausts give the bike a substantial, carefully finished appearance, while LED lighting is integrated without losing the period character.
Royal Enfield’s 647.95cc air-oil-cooled parallel twin produces a claimed 46.4 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm of torque at 5,650 rpm. A six-speed gearbox and broad, accessible power delivery should make the Classic 650 equally comfortable on relaxed local rides and faster journeys further from home.
The chassis uses a 43 mm telescopic front fork and twin rear shock absorbers. A 19-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear preserve the balanced Classic stance, while a 320 mm front disc and 300 mm rear disc are supported by dual-channel ABS.
With an 800 mm seat height, the riding position remains upright and natural. The pillion seat and its supporting frame can be removed when a cleaner single-seat silhouette is preferred, giving owners two distinct looks without the need for a major conversion.
Instrumentation combines an analogue speedometer with a compact digital display, keeping the cockpit suitably traditional while providing everyday information. A USB-C charging point is fitted for added practicality.
The colour range gives the Classic 650 several different personalities. Bruntingthorpe Blue and Vallam Red offer rich two-tone finishes, Teal provides a distinctive heritage-inspired option, and Black Chrome places the emphasis on deep paint and bright metalwork.
