2026 Yamaha Tricity 300: New Technology for Three-Wheel Commuting

Yamaha has announced a substantial update to the Tricity 300 for 2026, combining its leaning three-wheel layout with revised bodywork and new rider technology. An airbag-equipped version is a headline addition to the European range.
Automatic performance
The 292cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine produces 20.6kW at 7,250rpm and 28.9Nm at 5,750rpm, driving through an automatic V-belt transmission. The twin front wheels remain central to the Tricity’s approach to everyday commuting.
Updated equipment
The new model introduces a 4.2-inch colour TFT display and revised styling with triple LED position lights. Yamaha’s Brake Control system adds cornering-sensitive braking assistance to the ABS package.
On the airbag version, a cockpit-mounted system is designed to deploy during qualifying severe frontal collisions, helping absorb energy when the rider moves forwards. It is a specific version feature, so riders should check the configuration they are considering.
