Meet the Aprilia Tuono 457

The Aprilia Tuono 457 brings the attitude of the Tuono family to a lighter, A2-compatible platform. Compact dimensions, an upright riding position and a strong electronics package make it an appealing choice for newer riders and experienced motorcyclists who value agility over excess.
Its 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine produces a claimed 35 kW, or 47.6 hp, at 9,400 rpm, with 43.5 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm. Those figures place the Tuono at the A2 licence limit, while the engine’s broad delivery is designed to keep it responsive on real roads.
A lightweight aluminium frame is central to the bike’s handling. Aprilia draws on its larger performance models for the chassis layout, pairing it with a 41 mm upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock, both adjustable for spring preload.
The wide handlebar and reduced bodywork create a more open, road-focused riding position than the fully faired RS 457. A small front fairing and compact flyscreen retain a strong Tuono identity, with full LED lighting giving the front of the bike a sharp and recognisable signature.
Ride-by-wire throttle control allows Aprilia to offer three riding modes. Adjustable traction control and dual-channel ABS add useful support, while a 5-inch colour TFT display keeps settings and journey information clear and easy to navigate.
Braking is handled by a 320 mm front disc with a radial four-piston caliper, backed up by a 220 mm rear disc. Seventeen-inch wheels and road-focused tyres complete a package intended to feel quick to turn and reassuring at everyday speeds.
Piranha Red and Puma Grey colour options underline the Tuono’s modern, sporty character. Both work with the exposed frame, black mechanical components and bold Aprilia graphics to give the 457 genuine presence without simply imitating a larger-capacity machine.
