Vespa Celebrates 80 Years with Two Special Anniversary Models

Eight decades after the first Vespa was introduced in 1946, the Italian manufacturer is marking the occasion with two specially designed anniversary scooters: the Vespa Primavera 125 80th and Vespa GTS 310 80th.
Both models have been created to celebrate Vespa’s origins while retaining the performance, convenience and technology expected from a modern scooter.
At the centre of the anniversary design is the exclusive Verde 80th finish. This distinctive pastel green was inspired by the colour used on some of the earliest single-colour Vespa models and is applied across a range of body and trim details.
The wheels also reference Vespa’s past. Their solid-looking design provides a contemporary interpretation of the pressed-steel rims fitted to early machines, while commemorative detailing includes an “80th” plate beside the Vespa badge and an “80 Years of Vespa – Est. 1946” emblem.
The Primavera 125 80th provides the lighter and more compact option. Its Euro 5+ 125cc i-get engine, welded steel body and 12-inch wheels make it well suited to urban riding, while disc brakes and ABS add modern reassurance.
For riders looking for additional performance and road presence, the GTS 310 80th uses Vespa’s 310cc Euro 5+ hpe engine. It also receives dual-channel ABS, ASR traction control, a five-inch TFT display and Vespa MIA smartphone connectivity as standard.
Although different in size and performance, both editions share the same carefully considered anniversary identity. The result is a pair of modern Vespas that recognise the brand’s history without simply recreating a motorcycle from the past.
